Nola Scherer-Luft, Founder

Proudly celebrating 40 years in business, HDI Wholesale was founded by Nola Scherer-Luft, as Houseware Distributors, Inc. The company evolved from a multi-outlet store retailer to become an importer and distributor with a national customer base. Our roots are in retail, with the access to a deep network of vendors and sources for anything our customers need.

After many successful years in retail, we began working with a national non-profit organization, offering toys and gifts at much lower prices, and much more conveniently, than if they were to shop retail. NPO's should reap the same benefits that businesses do! Purchasing at wholesale prices better serves their communities. This relationship shifted our company focus towards meeting the needs of hundreds of non-profits throughout the country. We are the #1 non-profit resource!

Since Nola's retirement, her daughters, Sara Depies and Anne Blaedow, have led the family company to continued growth. We built a 70,000 square foot warehouse that opened in August of 2022, increasing efficiency in order fulfillment. In 2023, we added the privately branded Brookies™ line of diapers, training pants and wipes. In 2024, we are rolling out the privately branded Brookfield™ line of school supplies.
